Product Offerings

Evergreen & Drawdown Products

Evergreen funds and drawdown products represent two distinct approaches to private market investing. Evergreen funds are designed for long-term flexibility, with no fixed end date, allowing investors to enter and exit periodically while maintaining continuous exposure to private companies.  

In contrast, drawdown products, typically structured as closed-end limited partnerships, operate on a defined timeline of about 10 years. They follow a staged process: Capital commitments are drawn down during the investment period as opportunities arise, followed by a value creation phase and ultimately a harvesting or liquidation period until the fund is fully dissolved.  

Together, these structures offer investors different options for accessing private markets, balancing flexibility with predictability.

Flexible Solutions for Institutional Investors

We specialize in building customized managed solutions designed with a client’s profile and resource needs in mind. Customized solutions are a partnership between Hamilton Lane and the client in which the client is supported across a wide range of functions such as strategic planning, investment diligence and monitoring, back-office services, technology, and private markets education. The goal of customized solutions may include building a new portfolio, expanding an existing portfolio, or implementing targeted mandates.

Insurance Specific Solutions

Our Insurance Solutions team designs strategies that align with insurers’ unique needs – delivering private markets exposure in insurance-friendly wrappers. We’ve been managing Insurance Dedicated Funds since 2016 and offer a variety of semi-liquid commingled evergreen funds in addition to customized solutions to meet specific needs.

Product Offerings

Private Credit IDF provides immediate deployment into a highly diversified private credit portfolio of senior secured first-lien and unitranche loans in an open-ended, evergreen structure. The fund uses Hamilton Lane’s U.S. and Global Credit Opportunities Funds in addition to direct credit transactions.  

Private Secondaries IDF targets a diversified portfolio of private equity secondaries, anchored by Hamilton Lane’s U.S. and Global Private Secondaries Funds and direct secondaries transactions. This fund is also structured as an evergreen fund with fully deployed capital through a single allocation.
