  • This marks the firm’s first European Long-Term Investment Fund designed for EEA-based retail* investors, which adheres to the revised ELTIF 2.0 regulations
  • Among the earliest ELTIF 2.0 funds available in the market, the Fund utilizes a multi-manager and multi-asset approach, designed to offer global diversification through a single allocation

FRANKFURT – Leading private markets investment management firm Hamilton Lane (Nasdaq: HLNE) today announced the launch of a new evergreen vehicle, the Hamilton Lane Private Markets Access ELTIF (“the Fund”), which provides retail* investors in the European Economic Area (EEA) with access to institutional-quality private markets investments. The Fund is the latest addition to Hamilton Lane’s USD $9+ billion** evergreen platform, aimed at broadening access to private markets.

The Fund will bring Hamilton Lane’s scale, access and 30+ years of investing in private markets to a broader group of private wealth investors in the EEA, who can benefit from features like lower investment minimums compared to traditional private markets funds, capital fully deployed on day one, and the potential for increased liquidity. The ELTIF 2.0 structure will be available to non-professional investors through distribution partners across Europe, including Germany, Italy, Spain, France, the Nordics, and more.

Among the earliest ELTIF 2.0 structures in the market today, the Fund is differentiated in that it utilizes a multi-manager approach designed to provide a diversified portfolio across asset classes, regions, GPs and vintage years through a single allocation. It aims to provide equity-like returns by accessing investments across buyout, growth, venture capital and infrastructure. The Fund implements investments in the portfolio primarily via co-investments and secondaries.

Richard Hope, Head of EMEA and Global Co-Head of Investments, commented, “Across Europe and globally, we continue to pursue greater access to private markets for a broader set of investors. As one of only a handful of firms offering the ELTIF 2.0 structure today, our distribution partners now have the ability to offer retail investors in Europe the opportunity to benefit from the proven value creation opportunities provided by the private markets.”

The ELTIF 2.0 framework, which allows for evergreen structures, provides individuals with flexible ways of building portfolios and gives more investors access to private markets in a simplified and operationally efficient manner. Hamilton Lane was an early mover and continues to be a leader in broadening access to private markets, as one of the first to offer evergreen structures and tokenized funds within the asset class to accredited and high-net-worth investors.

Steve Brennan, Head of Private Wealth Solutions, added, “Individual investors have long lacked access to the flexible, transparent solutions from top-tier private markets managers that large institutional investors have long enjoyed, and this latest addition to our evergreen platform was created to help change that. We are committed to offering this audience simplified, flexible solutions that work for them.”

According to Hamilton Lane’s second annual Private Wealth Survey, nearly 60% of financial professionals globally plan to allocate 10% or more of their book of business to private market investments in 2025, illustrating the growing demand for access to private markets from the private wealth audience.

Weekly Research Briefing: The Stairmaster

The S&P 500 continues to get a good workout as a new all-time high mark was set again last week. The fuel for the upward move continues to be a mix of stellar credit markets, falling US Treasury yields, and AI capex spending optimism. The weakening labor picture has nearly guaranteed the beginning of a new Fed Fund rate cut cycle. The market is expecting that goods inflation will take a backseat while the Fed sets all of its attention on trying to rally employment growth.
