Shoko Sakamoto
Vice President
Shoko is a Vice President on the Direct Equity Investment team, based in London. She is responsible for leading the origination, evaluation, and execution of direct equity investment opportunities.
Prior to joining Hamilton Lane in 2025, she was a Principal at Cinven focused on the Industrials sector. Previously, she worked on Goldman Sachs' investment banking team in London after beginning her career at Itochu Corporation in Tokyo.
Shoko has an MBA from London Business School and a BSc in Biological Chemistry & Biotechnology from the University of Tokyo.
