Michael Augustine
Mike is a Managing Director and Global Head of Operations. He is responsible for leading teams that oversee global fund operations functions. Mike helps set the strategic vision for fund operations - aligning goals and priorities across Fund Accounting, Valuation, Investor Services and Credit Operations with our broader objectives. In this role, he partners with the COO and senior leadership to design and implement scalable operating models, enhance processes and controls, and support the continued growth of the firm.
Prior to this role, Mike was Co-Head of the Strategic Partner Group, supporting firm-wide strategic initiatives to enhance processes and collaboration across the organization.
Mike began his career at Hamilton Lane in 2006 in investment monitoring and portfolio reporting, where he focused on our fund-of-fund products and their investors. He also had exposure to investment activities working alongside the firm’s fund investment team. Mike then moved to the Relationship Management department in our San Diego office, where he was responsible for servicing all aspects of client relations - including strategic planning, portfolio construction, pipeline management and all other day-to-day needs of our clients. Moving back to headquarters in 2016, Mike became the Head of the Product Investor Relations team, responsible for the day-to-day servicing of all investors in Hamilton Lane products. Prior to joining Hamilton Lane, Mike was a mutual fund accountant with SEI Investments.
Mike received an MBA from the Haub School of Business at Saint Joseph’s University and a B.S. in Business with a focus in Finance from Saint Joseph’s University.
