Sean Abbott

Sean Abbott is a principal in our Portfolio Management Group, where he is responsible for portfolio implementation and oversight, driving connectivity across the portfolio lifecycle with a focus on overall stewardship and governance.
Prior to joining Hamilton Lane in 2026, Sean worked on the Global Alternative Operations team at BlackRock, focused on driving operational excellence across the firm’s alternative investment platform. Prior to BlackRock, Sean was a manager within the Asset & Wealth Management assurance practice at PwC, where he spent time in their Philadelphia, Boston and Luxembourg offices.
Sean earned his Master’s degree in accounting from Pennsylvania State University.
