John Oh
John is a Managing Director and Head of Shareholder Relations. He leads the firm’s efforts in interfacing with both the public shareholder and equity analyst communities, working closely with senior management and executives. He also has primary oversight of the firm’s on-balance sheet strategic investment activities. On behalf of Hamilton Lane, John is a board member of IDR Group. He also is the Head of the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging Council where he leads the firm’s mission in promoting equity, inclusion and belonging from within. John is a member of the Responsible Investment Committee.
Prior to his current role, he spent nearly six years on the Secondary Investment team at Hamilton Lane, where he was responsible for due diligence and execution of secondary investments. Before Hamilton Lane, John was with Bloomberg LP and focused primarily on working with alternative asset managers. Previously, he worked as an investment analyst at Taconic Capital where he focused primarily on merger arbitrage, capital structure arbitrage and distressed credit. John began his career at Banc of America Securities as an investment banking analyst within their debt capital markets group.
John received his B.A. in Economics from Haverford College.
