John Oh
John is a Managing Director and Head of Shareholder Relations, leading the firm’s engagement with both the public shareholder and equity analyst communities in close partnership with senior management and executives. In addition to these responsibilities, he has primary oversight of the firm’s on-balance sheet strategic investment activities. John also serves as Head of Belong@HamiltonLane, which represents the firm’s mission to foster a strong culture of belonging from within. He is a member of the Responsible Investment Committee.
Prior to his current role, John spent nearly six years on Hamilton Lane’s Secondary Investment team, where he was responsible for the due diligence and execution of secondary investments. Before joining Hamilton Lane, he was with Bloomberg LP, focusing primarily on alternative asset managers. Earlier in his career, he worked as an investment analyst at Taconic Capital, concentrating on merger arbitrage, capital structure arbitrage, and distressed credit. John began his career at Banc of America Securities as an investment banking analyst in the debt capital markets group.
