A recent IPO, Monday.com is a market leading SaaS tool for managing people, processes and projects that delivers a high degree of flexibility and customization while remaining extremely intuitive to use. Hamilton Lane had unique access to a private financing round through our existing strategic relationship with a leading venture investment partner. We also had familiarity with the asset through previous diligence of the company and discussions with the management team via a secondary opportunity. In June 2021, Monday.com priced its IPO on the NASDAQ which has since appreciated over 100% in value.

A notable ESG/Impact-oriented investment, AeroSafe Global’s innovative packaging allows customers to safely deliver temperature-sensitive products in a sustainable and environmentally friendly package that provides superior performance, while utilizing substantially less material than typical cold-chain logistics solutions. As one of the only solutions available to keep products -70 degrees Celsius throughout shipment, the company was contracted to deliver the COVID-19 vaccine and has delivered ~90 million doses worldwide. Importantly, the company’s packaging solutions have a 99% return rate, substantially reducing waste and lowering costs. Hamilton Lane garnered unique access to this transformative growth investment though our relationship with the management team as well as lead investor.

A recent Hamilton Lane investment into a leading digital security company offering SSL certificates and managed public key infrastructure software solutions. More simply described: anytime you click into your web-browser and a little green lock appears…that is this company. Leading market share in the secure site authentication industry sector. Prior to our investment in the preferred equity of the company to facilitate continued growth, Hamilton Lane was an incumbent lender in the Company’s collateralized term loan. Additionally, we had extensive knowledge of the company through a predecessor fund commitment in the second lien term loan. This asset-level familiarity and strong sponsor relationship enabled HL to underwrite the opportunity with speed and conviction by leveraging existing company-level information to support our investment thesis.

A recent investment, Retelit is a leading provider of wholesale fiber in the Italian market operating in 18 data centers and a sub-sea cable. Hamilton Lane partnered alongside lead investor Asterion Industrial Partners – a leading European data/infrastructure investor – in the take-private of the company. Retelit is well positioned in its market and with a new, more concentrated ownership structure it should provide management with the ability to focus on strategic initiatives and benefit from market trends.

An investment in an existing, diverse pool of seasoned growth and ultra-high growth companies that was purchased from an established venture manager. This was a proprietary purchase situation with the General Partner in which Hamilton Lane was the preferred partner and sole lead investor given our relationship and historical discussions with the manager. Hamilton Lane’s unique diligence perspectives were informed by our historical coverage and detail of the asset’s historical performance. Since closing, the portfolio has already experienced several notable events, including a listing of CareRay, a leading medical equipment company, on the public exchange.
