We are greatly saddened by the loss of our friend and colleague, Wayne Harber, who died suddenly on March 16, 2007 of an apparent heart attack at the age of 53. Wayne joined Hamilton Lane in 1998 and since that time had been a great contributor in our Business Development and Sales efforts. Wayne was responsible for the firm's business development activities outside of the United States, including Europe, Asia, Japan, Australia, the Middle East, and Canada.

Wayne was a trusted colleague and friend to many people, renowned for his tireless dedication and his great sense of humor. All of us at Hamilton Lane will miss his enthusiasm and spirit. It has been an honor and a privilege to work with such a special person.

In memory of Wayne, Hamilton Lane has established the Wayne Harber Memorial Fund through St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital – a charity important to Wayne and his wife, Nancy.

St. Jude is based in Memphis, TN and focuses on children in need of medical assistance. The facility accepts all patients, regardless of their ability to pay, and is supported largely through grants and donations.
